Troubleshooting BugDigger add-on for IE
When downloading BugDigger, IE says it could harm my computer
Microsoft has no enough data about BugDigger so when you download BugDigger add-on for IE it shows a message like “BugDiggerIE-Setup.exe is not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer”.
Click “Actions”, select “More Options” and then “Run anyway”. Or, simply open download folder and run the setup. (You need to exit IE before installing BugDigger add-on anyway.)
BugDigger button doesn’t appear in IE toolbar
1) Right-click IE toolbar and make sure that BugDigger is enabled. (If BugDigger is not listed among the available toolbars, it may not have been installed so try re-installing it first.)
2) In some cases restarting IE after add-on installation is not enough and BugDigger button doesn’t show up in IE until the system is restarted.
For some web sites BugDigger button doesn’t show up
Check your IE’s security restrictions and policies. For example, if IE add-ons are disabled for the Intranet zone, BugDigger will not work when you open a site in this zone.
Nothing happens when I click BugDigger button or select “Send to My BugDigger”
If you’ve just enabled BugDigger toolbar it will show up but the reporting options may not work. Restart IE to fix this (make sure to close all IE windows).
Some panel titled “LogDigger” appears at the in lower part of IE window
Install newer version of BugDigger add-on for IE to fix this.
LogDigger is our other product and this panel remained from the time when LogDigger and today’s BugDigger were part of the same pilot project. This panel has no purpose in BugDigger so just close it (and upgrade to the latest BugDigger add-on to make sure it doesn’t re-appear). This issue was fixed in add-on v2.0.5.
